A whole room has no power and the breaker is not tripped. What now?
The first thing worth checking yourself is a GFCI outlet somewhere else in the house, because a bathroom, garage or outdoor GFCI often feeds a whole run of outlets and lights in another room. If nothing has tripped and resetting it does nothing, the fault is a connection somewhere on that circuit, and that is a job for somebody licensed rather than a hunt through boxes.

The breaker did what it is for and the fault is still sitting there. Resetting it repeatedly is asking the same question and getting the same answer. It needs tracing to a short, an overloaded circuit, or a loose connection, and until that is found the safe place for that breaker is off.

An AFCI is not being fussy. It is detecting something, and the usual causes are a staple driven through insulation, a shared neutral, or a loose connection in a box. It is a trace, not a swap, and replacing the breaker with another one that trips is the expensive way to learn that.

A fifteen hundred watt heater draws around twelve and a half amps, which is most of a fifteen amp circuit on its own, so a dim on start is the circuit telling you it is near the top. Whole house dimming is different and points at the service side rather than one circuit. The fix for the first one is usually its own line for the appliance, which is what a dedicated circuit is.
